Meet the Presenter:
Dr. Christopher Wiese
Dr. Christopher Wiese is an Assistant Professor of Industrial-Organizational Psychology at the Georgia Tech. He received a B.S. in Psychology and Management as well as a Ph.D. in Industrial-Organizational Psychology from the University of Central Florida (2015) working with Drs. Eduardo Salas, C. Shawn Burke, and Kimberly Smith-Jentsch. After completing his Ph.D., he was a post-doctoral fellow with a joint appointment at Purdue University and The University of Pennsylvania collaborating with Drs. Louis Tay and Angela Duckworth. He joined the Georgia Tech faculty in 2018.
His current research includes Improving Mental Health Care, with the Help of an AI Teammate, funded by a $2,000,000 grant from the National Science Foundation (NSF). An interdisciplinary team of investigators at Georgia Tech, Emory University, and Penn State are developing an interactive AI system that can provide key insights and feedback to help professionals improve and provide higher quality care while satisfying the increasing demand for highly trained, effective mental health professionals.
