Hey Gang…Fall is Almost upon us…
Join Me… for our September STC Orlando Central Florida Chapter Meeting – Sept 18, 2012. I will be presenting my TechComm philosphy and how my team implements single source, collaborative authoring and component content management.
“It’s all about writing content once, maintaining it in a single location, reusing it, and publishing it to multiple outputs.”
We, as a department, are moving from a Distributed Authoring Model to a Centralized one in which we create and manage technical documentation in a way that is technologically and financially “smart” using dynamic collaboration and reuse. This has helped our company reduce the time it takes to search for “silo-ed”, segmented, and missing information by providing a secure and manageable single-source “virtual library” of information. As a part of my presentation, I will also demonstrate the Author-Itâ tool my team uses at Wyndham Vacation Ownership. I hope you’ll join us!
