Join the Florida Chapter of STC on Thursday, May 27, 2021, for our virtual chapter meeting as Lori Meyer shares her presentation “Through the Generations: The Enduring Value of Technical Communication”. In addition, you get a chance to hear from the slate of candidates for the 2021-2022 STC Florida election. We will be having this fully online chapter meeting on May 27th from 6:30-8:00 pm eastern time. 

Listen to Lori Meyer speak about her career in technical communication and touch upon topics like user advocacy, quality and innovation, and generational identities. We have a full slate of candidates for chapter office this year, and we want to give you the chance to hear from them before online voting opens on June 14th.

Meeting Payment

We will be charging the following rates for this meeting:

  • Free for STC Student Members
  • $6 for STC Florida Chapter Members
  • $12 for all other attendees

About Lori Meyer

Lori Meyer is a technical communicator with more than 25 years of experience designing, writing, and editing software documentation and online user assistance. She started her career as a technical editor and is currently the lead writer at a cybersecurity firm in northern California. She has an MS degree in instructional technology.

Lori, an STC Fellow, is a member and volunteer for several STC communities. She currently serves as president of the Rochester Chapter, secretary of the Florida Chapter, membership manager of the Instructional Design and Learning Community of Practice, social media volunteer for the Technical Editing Community of Practice, and director at large for the Washington DC-Baltimore and Philadelphia Metro chapters. Lori also serves as an ad-hoc member of the STC Community Affairs Committee (CAC).
